On a proper setup, string slots aren't cut to a generic spacing — they're cut to align each string with the pole pieces of your pickups, so every string sits directly over its magnet and reads evenly. That spacing varies from guitar to guitar. It's a step we take on every ABR-1 we install at Historic Makeovers, and we leave these blank so you (or your tech) can do the same: slot them to your instrument, your pickups, your gauges.
