RetroSpec Exclusive Series Vintage Pickguard - Cream

The pickguard is one of the details that defines the face of a vintage Les Paul — the shape, the profile, the way it sits off the top. Ours is a faithful reproduction of the late-1950s guard, cut to correct vintage dimensions with the cream profile and the elegant curve of the original.

This is built to true vintage spec — the pickup spacing and mounting-hole placement match a 1959 Les Paul. It's the correct reference for a period-accurate build or a replica, and it carries the shape and stance that make a '59 guard instantly recognizable.

The cream color is matched across our plastics line — this guard, our M69 pickup rings, our jack plate, and our poker chip all share the same tone, so the whole face of the guitar comes together cohesively instead of pairing mismatched creams from different makers.

Choose NOS for a clean, just-installed look, or Aged for a guard with the character of a well-kept original. The aging is done by hand in the Historic Makeovers shop — the same work that goes onto the instruments our clients trust us with — so no two aged guards are ever exactly alike.
