We're proud to present a complete vintage-correct bridge and tailpiece solution — the St. Helens x RetroSpec "Classic" Combo. Based on the original ABR-1 design used throughout the late 1950s, this set delivers the materials, feel, and tonal response that defined Gibson's most celebrated instruments.

The bridge is crafted from vintage-correct zamac with soft brass saddles that sit freely in the body, with no retaining wire — just like original Burst-era examples. The alloy and hardness were matched through detailed analysis to recreate authentic tonal response.

The stoptail is made from lightweight aluminum and finished in gold plating without a copper underlayer, preserving vintage-correct construction and resonance.

Two ways to own it — NOS and Aged.

Choose NOS (New Old Stock) and you get the set exactly as it would have left the bench in the golden era: clean, correct, and ready to build with.

Choose Aged, and the same vintage-correct hardware is taken further. Each Aged set is hand-aged in our shop by Historic Makeovers — the same aging craft we bring to the high-end restorations we're known for. We work every set by hand, one piece at a time: reading the metal, breaking the plating, and settling the finish the way decades of honest playing would. Nothing is stamped, tumbled in a batch, or rushed. Because each piece is treated individually, no two are ever alike — the set you receive carries its own character and can't be reproduced.
